WELCOME to SAAC

The South Arkansas Arts Center is the cultural link for people living in South Arkansas and North Louisiana. Because it is SAAC’s mission to educate and entertain it provides monthly gallery exhibits featuring local, regional and nationally acclaimed artists, a season of community theatre productions annually, classes for children and adults in visual arts, photography, ballet, music, and drama on site as well as Artists-in-Education in area schools. SAAC’s 22,500 facility houses three art galleries, a ballet studio, a 206 seat theatre , a scene and costume shop, a photography studio, educational classroom space, and an open studio for artists offered free of charge to anyone in the community.

The mission of the South Arkansas Arts Center in serving the people of the bi-state region is to promote, bridge, facilitate and support the ideas and forms of artistic appreciation, education, ability, confidence and cooperation for all age, cultural, social and racial groups.

The South Arkansas Arts Center beleives that the arts should be basic to lifelong education - not just for children and teachers. SAAC is here for the community!
